The name MAXI is short for Maximus, like the gladiator, but more importantly it's the name of our founder's son. The business was born out of a simple goal: build a better way to work and a better way to serve people.

Josh wanted the freedom to work for himself, provide for his family, and build something that left room for health, time, and real life, not just long hours and burnout. He grew up around cars in his grandfather's small-town mechanic shop, where he learned early that good work is quiet, consistent, and focused on taking care of people.

A big part of that came from his dad, the hardest-working person he's ever known. For more than 40 years his dad showed up to the same job with the same steady attitude, and taught Josh two things that stuck: have a relentless work ethic, and don't sell your whole life to an employer.

MAXI started small. One van. One driveway at a time. Show up on time, act like a pro, do clean work, and leave the driveway better than we found it. Over time that turned into a clear, repeatable system every MAXI technician follows today.
